Passing now to the Estimates for Public Works, Extraordinary, and dealing in the first place with the division "Buildings", I would remark that the amounts inserted for the Time Ball Tower on Blackhead's Hill, Kowloon, for the Land Office at Taipo and for the Market near Quarry Bay represent the estimated balances (unexpended at the end of the current year) to complete these works I have provided $52,000 for a new Slaughter House and Animal Depots in Kowloon, the site of the existing buildings being required for the Station Yard of the Railway.
